I've got some news that I’ve been keeping secret for months, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with you. I've written a book! Yes, you read that right – your friendly neighbourhood chronic illness therapist advocate has become an author.

Living Well With Chronic Illness: Write your own roadmap to healing in tough times isn't just a title; it's the culmination of my 20-year journey with chronic illness and thousands of hours working with clients facing similar challenges. This book is the resource I wish I'd had when I first embarked on this wild, often overwhelming adventure of living with chronic illness.

Now, let's get one thing straight – this isn't a magic cure-all or a rigid set of rules. What works for me might not work for you, so this isn’t my plan, it’s how to create your own plan.

Think of this book as your personal guide to creating a life that's vibrant, fulfilling, and uniquely yours, chronic illness and all.

Inside, you'll find a insights from my decades of doing this work, including:

  • Navigation tools for the maze-like world of diagnosis and healthcare

  • Strategies to become your own best advocate

  • Psychological techniques to live well in tough times

  • Ways to build your support network and access resources

  • Journaling prompts to help you navigate chronic illness life

But this book isn't just for those of us in the land of the sick. It's for our loved ones, healthcare providers, and anyone who wants to understand this journey better. Because let's face it, chronic illness impacts all of us, one way or another.

Writing this book has been an immense process, from hospital waiting rooms, writing from bed and learning so much from so many. But through it all, I've been carried by the incredible support of my writing community, beta readers, and you – my amazing readers.

I owe a massive thank you to my visionary editor Jess Duffy, of Orion Spring, my rockstar agent Abi Fellows, and the fantastic teams at DHH Literary Agency and The Good Literary Agency. Their belief in this project has been everything.

So, what now? Living Well With Chronic Illness is available for pre-order! Every pre-order is like a high-five to my publisher, showing them that yes, this book matters. Plus, you'll be first in line when it launches.

To my fellow scribblers out there – if you're not part of a writing community yet, get on it! Trust me, it's a game-changer. The publishing journey can be as unpredictable as chronic illness itself, and having a support squad is crucial. Need help finding your tribe? From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your support, kind words, and shared experiences have been the fuel for this journey. This book belongs to all of us.
